Rules and Regulations for the Godzilla Wars RPG:[/color]
**********
Of course, the number one rule for the Godzilla Wars RPG is to relax and have fun, but there are a number of negative people out there at will eventually try to start pushing boundaries and what not to create chaos here, so the rules and regulations must be outlined.
I absolutely will not tolerate flaming, especially with malicious intent. Friendly nit picking, fun poking, or even friendly insults AMONGST FRIENDS is fine, but doing so with the intent of hurting the feelings of others won’t be tolerated, plain and simple. Please, save us all the hassle, and as your mother always told you, “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.”
I also despise plagiarism. Don’t plagiarize anything here, or you’ll be banned on the spot.
The staff is always right. However, if a moment arises when the staff isn’t right and you feel you’ve been treated unfairly, you can take it up with myself, and I will sort it out in as pleasant and professional a manner as I possibly can. This isn’t an invitation for you to run to me because you don’t like a fair decision that one of my junior staff members has made, mind you. This is an invitation for you to be treated fairly in the event that a staff member has been unfair to you.
Fights between characters do not transfer to fights between players. If they do, there will be problems, so play nice or else.
Don’t forget that your character has limitations! Some characters will be deadlier than others, some will be smarter than others, and some will have special skills that others will not have, but don’t forget that your character DOES have some kind of limitation. God-modding is strictly prohibited. A refusal to take damage or show weakness, or purposely writing your character into or out of impossible situations is also prohibited. If in the course of events your character takes damage, or is put into a specific and/or dangerous situation you must represent that in your posts. Also remember that you are only in control of your own character. Please do not try to control other characters unless they are your own. This should also cover auto hitting. Unless you have EXPRESS PERMISSION from your opponent or an administrator ( depending, of course, on the situation ), auto hitting is prohibited ( and is otherwise thought to be just plain rude ). Don’t be that guy.
CHARACTERS DIE! It sucks, I know, believe me, but they do. I will do everything in my power to keep characters in the game ( if nothing else but by the infamous Superhero / Super Villain continuity law ), but if your characters IS killed for good, don’t let it upset you. I apologize in advance, but sooner or later someone is going to die. When it happens, make it epic and take the blow in stride and move on.
Let’s keep SPAM to a minimum, shall we? I don’t care for silly conversations and all that and will generally let them slide, but the first time I start catching the word “nom” written ten million times somewhere to be annoying and you’re going to go bye-bye. On that note, cursing IS allowed, as this is an adult oriented RPG, but please, let’s keep extreme gratuity to a minimum as well. I don’t think any of us need to hear the profane name you gave your hoo-hoo. That said, PORN is strictly forbidden. If you post pornographic material here, I’ll rip out your heart and feed it to you rectally, and believe me, neither of us wants that.
If role-playing by yourself, you may post as often as you like. When posting with other players, however, please maintain a posting order, unless someone has dropped out of the event or you have permission to post ahead of another player (when this happens, please annotate such in the bottom of your post). If needing a ruling in combat because your opponent fails to post, please contact the staff. Keep OOC ( Out of Character ) discussions to an absolute minimum in In Character forums. This is mostly to maintain the cleanliness of the board and to keep threads from becoming jumbled jungles of “lulz”.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns about anything posted here, feel free to contact the staff.

Traveling and the Passage of Time:
Let’s talk about time first, shall we? Glad you agree.
Time in Godzilla Wars[/b] passes as fluid time. Basically this translates into time passes as RP allows. There will be a site date time group, but it is more of a reference point than anything, for lack of a better description. This gives us a time to work with during RPs that allows for both past and future events. In even simpler terms; it gives us the ability to RP as we desire without worrying about what day it is, etc, and makes characters and events flexible. Please note, however, that players should track their characters timelines, as most of what happens on the site will be considered canon to the site storyline and will be important to Official Timeline.
Traveling is relevant to your mode of travel and time spent traveling. Obviously, a flying kaiju like Mothra or Rodan is going to be able to cover more ground than a lumbering mass like Biollante ( at least…when she’s not in her spore form… ). I believe it’s acceptable for flying kaiju to travel two to three thousand miles in a 24 hour period ( according to their air speed ), while swimming kaiju would probably cover less ground ( distance ), at around 500 miles in a 24 hour period. Slower land based kaiju will probably go even less, with the max distance possible probably being three hundred and fifty miles or less in a 24 hour period. Remember, the bigger and slower your kaiju is, the shorter the distance they’ll be able to traverse in 24 hours, so be sure to abide by the honor system and keep it realistic. Please keep in mind that, as mentioned in the first paragraph, we work with fluid time here, so your mode of travel / time spent traveling is also relevant to your characters own timeline as well as any timeline between yourself and other players or timelines involved in Human Events, Kaiju Events, or Official Site Events.
Human travel is, of course, much different than kaiju travel. Humans can take planes, boats, cars, or whatever to shorten their travel times. We all know what it’s like to travel like this, especially with traffic jams, lay over’s, and what not, so be sure to keep the distance you go realistic. Again, honor system and your own personal timelines / the timelines in events you’re involved in will help dictate your time / dates spent traveling.
If there are questions, comments, or concerns about the Travel System or Passage of Time here at Godzilla Wars[/b], PLEASE feel free to contact the staff. If there is something we’ve missed that you might have caught, we need to know about it.
