Point of Origin: Odo Island ( South Pacific )
Height: 55 meters
Weight: 59,750 tons
Physical Description: Godzilla is an upright bipedal saurian with dark charcoal colored hide and three rows of dorsal fins down his back. The most prominent of these fins is the middle row that peaks in the center of his back, pointed jagged edges towards the sky. His head is small in comparison to some other kaiju, most likely because it isn‘t adorned with crests and frills and other evolutionary adaptations, and his muzzle is square and powerful. His eyes are obviously intelligent and calculating, while his chest is barreled out between two short but powerful forearms. His legs are buckled in typical therapod-esque fashion, his feet ending in massive, razor sharp claws, just like his hands.
Behavior: The Monster King is a headstrong, aggressive kaiju that is known for his frontal approach method in almost any situation. Godzilla likes to aggress in combat, always moving towards his opponent, and is also one of the more intelligent kaiju. The UNKCC attributes many of Godzilla’s wins to his cunning. He is also one of the few kaiju that seems less than indifferent towards the humans he shares the planet with. Generally Godzilla is aggressive towards humans and will attack them on sight, although he is also been found to be susceptible to psychic interaction with human beings, especially Miki Saegusa. He also feeds off of nuclear energy, a resource he relies on humans to obtain, meaning that his interaction with humanity is inevitable in most instances. Godzilla prefers to travel via the ocean instead of moving long distances over land, although doing so is not unheard of.
Attacks and Abilities:
- Skin: Godzilla’s thick hide protects his body from most energy / plasma weapons as well as most conventional munitions used by the military. Only the strongest weapons and attacks phase him.
- Nuclear Pulse: Godzilla’s Nuclear Pulse is one of his handiest abilities. It is especially good at casting off enemies who are overwhelming the monster king in close quarters combat.
- Surge Bang Attack: A similar attack to the Nuclear Pulse, the Surge Bang is a stronger attack that can be used at medium distance. Godzilla can drain energy from his attacker during physical contact and then redirect it back at them as a wall of energy. This is also damaging to Godzilla, however.
- Regeneration: Godzilla’s primary defense in battle, the Organizer G1 in Godzilla’s cell’s can repair damage very quickly and with great efficiency.
- Atomic Ray: Godzilla’s primary distance weapon, his atomic ray mixes range and efficiency with devastating power.
- Spiral Fire: His strongest attack, Godzilla‘s Spiral Fire is hot enough to incinerate all but the hardiest of foes, having even reduced Super Mechagodzilla to molten slag. This takes a great toll on the creatures nuclear energy reserves.
Origin: The current version of Godzilla ( known in the scientific community as Godzilla III ) was previously known as Baby Godzilla / Little Godzilla / Godzilla Junior. Found as an egg on Adona Island in 1993, Baby Godzilla was hatched in a lab in Japan and became crucial in the newly founded Godzilla Forces’ attempt to topple the Monster King ( Godzilla II ) with the super-mech, Mechagodzilla. The plan was ruined, however, when Rodan ( the surrogate parent of the egg when it was found at Adona Island ) shows up and tries to return the infant to safety. Instead, Rodan is killed by Super Mechagodzilla, the combination of the Garuda Assault Jet and Mechagodzilla itself. With Rodan destroyed, Godzilla II arrives and saves the infant, and the two are later seen swimming out to sea.
The next encounter with the infantile creature came when Akira Yuki discovered it on Birth Island in the Pacific Ocean while performing reconnaissance to destroy Godzilla II. The creature had grown a great deal since the last time it had been seen in 1993. Now, in 1995, it was nearly 20 meters tall. The infant would not be seen again until 1996, after Godzilla II’s defeat of MOGUERA, and after the destruction of Birth Island by exploding uranium pockets under its crust. The sudden burst of radioactive energy that occurred was enough to push Little Godzilla into a new growth spurt, pushing it to 35 meters and making it an almost exact replica of the larger adult Godzilla II. It was then known as Godzilla Junior.
Miki Saegusa’s psychic tie with Godzilla Junior was again exploited in 1996 when Destroyah attacked Tokyo. Calling the infantile “Son of Godzilla” to Tokyo, it was assumed that the parent creature ( Godzilla II ) would follow and be instrumental in the destruction of the new threat. Unfortunately, Godzilla Junior was thought killed in the ensuing battle by the massive and wildly powerful monster Destroyah, and when Godzilla II’s meltdown wiped the two beasts from existence, it was assumed the Godzilla Juniors body had been destroyed as well.
It was not until 2002 when a rash of ship sinking’s occurred that the UNKCC, as well as the Japanese government, realized that Godzilla Junior ( now Godzilla III, or simply known as Godzilla ) was found to be alive still. Drawn to Osaka by the psychic calling of human-GCell hybrid children, Godzilla was instrumental in the destruction of the rampaging new genetically engineered species known as Dipterie. Since then Godzilla has been on the move throughout the pacific ocean, slowly moving south towards Australia.
Sample Roleplay: The sky overhead crackled with lightning as the storm moved in to further darken the night. Godzilla lumbered slowly through the knee high jungles of Fais Island, nearly five hundred miles north of Indonesia. The surrounding villages had evacuated as soon as the warning bell had rang on the hill, running for the shelter of the volcanic caves near the center of the island that they had used as emergency shelters time and again. The caves would truly be put to the test tonight as the village people hunkered in their depths, listening to the echo of waterlogged roars as they bounced from the hills for miles around.
Trees toppled and snapped below the Monster King’s mass as easily as a man would break a toothpick between his fingers, cutting a tremendous swath of destruction through the jungle as Godzilla moved on some target that still lay unknown, hidden in the massive volcanic hills in the middle of the island. The creatures of the jungle were fleeing now, moving away from the lumbering titans trail as quickly as their feet would carry them.
Another roar pierced the night now, one that did not belong to Godzilla. Godzilla’s own cry reverberated back as he paused, sounding his challenge into the darkness of the night. The people in the caves were more frightened than ever. They knew what was coming as winds rushed through the caverns around them, pushed outwards by the flying beast that was escaping through the mouth of the volcano into the night. They feared even more for the battle that followed, worried that their shelter would collapse over them.
The people of Fais Island new it would be a long night as the first blows were thrown and the night lit up with the blue-white light of Godzilla’s Atomic Ray…
